I'm not-so-offically starting my Christmas blogging break today. Since I don't plan on posting anything until after New Years, I wanted to take a moment to share a few things with you.
This song on SNL the other night had be laughing so hard I almost fell off the couch and it's been stuck in my head since.
I rented The Family this week, (mostly because Dianna Agron is in it) and it was fantastic. I've been telling the joke about Goodfellas and home movies to anyone who will listen.
My parent's presents for me have been sitting in out living room for over a month now and I am so excited to rip them open.
This is the fifth year that my parents and I are doing our 'grown-up Christmas'. It started my freshman year of high school when we had to travel to Virginia on Christmas day, so we opened presents on Christmas Eve. We start by having Polish food for dinner, because my Dad and I are Polish and it's just a nice family thing, you know? My dad used to make the food but now we get a big takeout order from Patti's Pierogis.
After dinner we sit down and open presents. Or, my parents watch me open my presents. I'm convinced my parents will still be giving me actual presents that I'm not allowed to open until Christmas Eve when I'm in my forties with my own kids. And I will gladly accept them.
One last thing, I wanted to say how thankful I am for each and every person who reads or follows this blog. It means so much to me that you are taking precious time out of your day to read my 'baby'.
Have a very merry Christmas and a super happy New Year! Be safe!
See you in 2014!
