Trend Report: Sweater Weather

First off, I'm finally back in New York once again. It's been a while since I've been home due to my school duties, but now I am back and getting this darn wisdom tooth out today. I planned on setting up posts for the week while I'm lying in post-surgery pain, but Netflix got the better of me and I forgot. So do not be surprised if this is the most you see of me this week. Now, onto the post.

Here in the northeast it is getting pretty frigid outside, which means it is time to permanently glue a sweater to my skin for the next three to five months! My favorite kind of sweater to wear in the winter is a big, chunky kind. My Nana is from Ireland so I grew up around a lot of itchy Irish sweaters, and I love 'em.

Taking collard shirts and putting them under the sweaters, like the preppy girl I am, is one of my favorite ways to wear sweaters in the winter.

Who doesn't love a good statement necklace in the winter... Unless that necklace has to be covered by a scarf in the freezing cold.

I'm really feeling the ankle booties this season.

I adore all of the colors in this outfit. I love dark jewel tones in the winter. They're like pastels in the spring, you just have to wear them.

Once again, ankle booties. And more jewel tones. Both perfect for the cold season.

I could go on and on about sweaters for days, but sadly this is the internet and this post must end.
What is your favorite way to wear a sweater?

Have a splendid day!

  2. I've been wearing a LOT of sweaters this season. I especially love the second and fourth outfit. The second outfit looks girly and the statement necklace looks lovely with it. I love the jewel tones on the fourth outfit and I definitely agree with it being a colour must for the colder months!
