Awesome title, amiright?
I feel in love with chambray two years ago when I bought a chambray dress at a little mall store that my cousin brought me to in Maryland. I've only worn it a handful of times so far, but I used to put it on my mannequin* and stare at it all day.
*Her name is Stella. After Stella McCartney.
Now, I know chambray shirts are like the preppy girl's calling card (I'm pretty sure some girls buy them in bulk), but they are a trend, so I'm going to show my favorite examples of how to wear a chambray shirt, dress, and shorts -not all at once, obviously- in this trend report.
While I feel that colored denim is a whole other trend itself that I have blogged about before, I think it fits nicely in this outfit. I stuck with very classic pieces, like the chambray shirt, Tory Burch riding boots, and this fantastic PS1. I adore the giant statement necklace, it really brings an extra bit of femininity to the outfit.
Tired of wearing florals to visit grandma each week? Give her and the ladies in her bridge game something to talk about by showing up in a chambray dress such as this Jack Wills one. It's sweet enough to pass as formal and feminine but modern enough to toughen up with a leather jacket. I adore a sweetheart neckline. The nude flats will lengthen your legs and make you look polished, plus plus.
I know, I know. Another chunky monkey necklace. I'm just obsessed with these things, okay? These shorts have teeny tiny anchors on them. Anchors. I am in love. I went totally New England preppy with this one due to the short's pattern. I would wear this into downtown Newport in a heartbeat. It's perfect for a boat ride then maybe dinner at The Black Pearl? In the tavern, of course.
That's all for me. Have an amazing day my little rosebuds!
