Trend Report: Pattern Clashing

My style is more mixing neutral solids, but with the pattern mixing showing up on the runway the past few seasons I decided to try my own approach to the trend.
Pattern Clashing
I didn't even notice that the skirt also had birds on it until after I picked out and fell in love with the entire outfit. I put this together with a vacation outfit in mind, with the toucan and all, but now I look at it and see a cute birdwatching outfit. Is that a thing, birdwatching fashion? Can we make that a thing? Let's make it a thing.

Pattern Clashing
This is my favorite outfit that I created for this post. I adore these colors so much, I just want to wrap myself in that blazer and live in it forever. And those pants... Fourth of July party, anyone? Literally wear fireworks to go see fireworks. Awesome.

Pattern Clashing
These shorts are adorable, right? Remember when I dedicated an entire trend report to polka dots? I wanted something to pull out the green of this Dolce and Gabbana sweater, so I picked these beautiful tassel earrings. Also, the necklace reminds me of a fortune cooke and that makes me smile.

Pattern Clashing
I was never into the Aztec print trend but this skirt is just so perfect. I used the bag to bring out the purple of the skirt. What do you pair with a striped crop top and an Aztec print skirt? Why, pink heels and a thick gold chain necklace, of course.

How do you mix prints? Are you more into subtle print mixing or are you bold will mix anything?
Which of these outfits is more your style? Tell me in the comments!

Have one fabulous Friday!

  3. Usually I'm not fan of mixing prints but I actually enjoyed your outfit sets a lot. I especially loved the third set. Everything from the tassel earrings to the floral blouse are just perfect!
